While you’re cuddling up at home and enjoying some downtime to recharge your energy, what better way to uplift your mood than by watching an inspiring story. There are so many movies and shows on Netflix these days, and we know how hard it can be to find something that really resonates with you. That is why we have compiled this list of show recommendations to help motivate courage and resilience so you can feel inspired to do something great with your life.

  1. Happy

A documentary focused on exploring the innermost psychology of positivity using the latest research-based on science. Follow the stories in this documentary of people who have managed to create their own meaning of happiness.

2. The Pursuit of Happyness

Based on the real-life story of Chris Gardner and his son, starring Will and Jaden Smith, this movie is full of inspirational dialogues between a father and son who see to create a better life for themselves while trying to survive homelessness.

3. Love on the Spectrum

This Australian reality show follows several young adults on the spectrum as they make an attempt for the first time to start dating and find love. This show has captured the hearts of people all over the world and is probably one of the best shows on Netflix right now. After you watch the first season, we are sure you will agree.

4. Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker

Follow the story of successful African American entrepreneur Madam C.J. Walker who built a hair care empire that made her America’s first female self-made millionaire. This extortionary tale of a woman driven to succeed despite everyone telling her she has no chance is sure to have you feeling empowered.

5. Tidying up with Marie Kondo

Need a little encouragement to get your home more organized? If so, this is the perfect show for you. Marie Kondo is the author of “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” and uses many of the techniques from her book to inspire transformation for the families on this show.
